    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Pulmonary & Progressive Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling available

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient-centered care on a combined medical-surgical and progressive care unit managing diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and COVID-19
    • Perform and monitor oxygen therapy, IV medications, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and postoperative care
    • Conduct moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies and manage telemetry and cardiac monitoring
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and physical therapists
    • Document patient care using Epic; administer IV fluids via Alaris pumps and medications via Acudose
    • Float to Med-Surg units as needed; travelers are the first to be reassigned to another department
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in South Dakota or a compact state
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum experience with BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care
    • Ability to badge in and out at the facility for every shift
    • Navy blue scrubs required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Specialty nursing certification (e.g., Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing)
    • Prior experience in an IMC or step-down/progressive care setting
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Acudose medication dispensing systems
