    Job Title

    RN (Registered Nurse) – ICU

    Location

    Oakland, MD | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights) | Holidays rotate with regular staff

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses such as respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with RVR, detox, suicide, and occasional med-surg overflow
    • Titrate drips including propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, levophed, and others as clinically indicated
    • Monitor and read telemetry strips house-wide for both ICU and med-surg patients
    • Manage occasional arterial lines and accept pediatric patients as needed
    • Float to med-surg as needed during low census periods; typically will not carry a full patient assignment when floating
    • Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and unrestricted RN license
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
    • Demonstrated ICU nursing experience
    • Ability to titrate vasoactive and sedation drips independently
    • Ability to monitor and interpret telemetry strips
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • All submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience managing complex ICU patients including those requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP, or BiPAP
    • Familiarity with a broad range of titratable drips in a critical care setting
    • Experience in a small or rural hospital ICU environment
    • Comfort with pediatric patient care in an ICU setting
