Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage a diverse ICU patient population including heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, ventilated patients, GI bleeds, strokes, TPA administration, post-codes, pneumonia, and post-surgical complications
• Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Spacelabs monitoring system (no telemetry techs on unit)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNA support, hospitalists, telehealth intensivists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7
• Float to Telemetry unit or sister ICU facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
• Experience titrating critical care drips
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator management, High Flow oxygen therapy, and BiPAP
• Familiarity with Spacelabs monitoring systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; first-time travelers welcome
