    Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected Start: October 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical ICU setting
    • Manage variable patient ratios based on acuity (e.g., 1:1 for post open heart surgery and critical ICU/device patients, 1:2 for typical ICU assignments, 1:3–4 for stepdown patients)
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), telemetry monitors, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes
    • Assist with or support procedures such as intubation, central and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, TEE/TTE cardioversion, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
    • Administer and monitor critical drips and manage hemodynamically complex patients
    • Float to Progressive Care as needed; work every third weekend with no on-call requirement
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in hand prior to submission — no exceptions
    • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Telemetry experience required; PCU-level experience or higher strongly preferred
    • Proficiency with EMR system (Sunrise experience a plus)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior ICU experience
    • Experience managing critical drips, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
    • Organized, adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced critical care environment
