    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – ICU

    Location

    Mission Hills, CA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including Level 2 Trauma, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and STEMI receiving
    • Manage complex neurological, cardiovascular, and surgical patients including CABG, Valve, and IABP cases
    • Care for multi-trauma patients including motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic injuries
    • Administer and monitor CRRT, manage sepsis protocols, and support surgical recovery
    • Float between ICU and PCU overflow as needed (up to 12 overflow beds)
    • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, valid RN license for the state of California (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
    • Strong Neuro experience required
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card
    • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
    • Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome
    • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a Magnet-designated facility
    • Familiarity with high-acuity neuro populations, stroke care, and thrombectomy-capable stroke center protocols
    • Prior experience floating between ICU and PCU or step-down units
