Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including neurological, cardiovascular, and multi-trauma populations
- Care for patients presenting with stroke (thrombectomy-capable stroke center), STEMI, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and orthopedic conditions
- Manage complex cases including CABG/Valve surgery, IABP, CRRT, sepsis, and post-surgical patients
- Float between ICU and PCU overflow units as needed
- Document patient care using Epic electronic health record system
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Strong neuro experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, LA Fire Card
- Must be able to float between ICU and PCU overflow as assigned
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidacy; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or similarly high-acuity environment
- Familiarity with IABP, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Prior experience charting in Epic
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
