Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Gardner, MA

Implement VAP bundle components consistently per protocol and provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all patient data and therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, plans of care, and patient goals in an ICU setting
• Safely administer medications, intravenous therapy, and vasoactive drips in accordance with physician orders, protocols, and established policies
• Perform accurate and timely identification of cardiac arrhythmias and interpretation of EKG configuration changes, arterial blood gases, and pulse oximetry
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to mechanical ventilation, including initiation, maintenance, troubleshooting, weaning, and care of the intubated patient
• Participate actively in daily multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning incorporating appropriate support systems and resources
• Implement VAP bundle components consistently per protocol and provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all patient data and therapeutic interventions

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN License
• ACLS upon hire, or active BLS with ability to obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• Previous telemetry experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience
• Prior ICU experience strongly preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
