Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed mixed ICU/CVICU/Surgical/Neuro unit where most patients are medical, with exposure to neuro surgery and CV surgery cases
- Manage patients at a 2–3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio utilizing equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
- Document and manage patient care using the EPIC EMR system
- Pass a mandatory medication and math competency exam (minimum passing score of 90%) prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities
- Float to Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed
- Adhere to facility dress code: black scrubs; hoodies are not permitted
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN or SCRN certification
- Open heart recovery experience
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
