Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Fort Smith, AR

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed mixed ICU unit, primarily serving medical patients as well as neuro surgery and cardiovascular surgery patients
• Manage ICU-level care including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and CRRT as applicable
• Administer medications safely and accurately; all nurses providing direct patient care are required to pass a medication and math competency exam (minimum passing score of 90%) prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary, team-oriented care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience
• Must maintain black scrubs; hoodies are not permitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN or SCRN certification
• Experience with open heart recovery
• Experience with CRRT
• Background in CVICU, surgical, or neuro ICU settings
