Key Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients with complex problems in an ICU setting. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients with complex problems in an ICU setting
• Perform patient assessments that address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data to determine care priorities
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and communicate the plan of care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
• Identify and address discharge planning needs, cultural and ethnic considerations, and patient/family education needs
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience in an intensive care or critical care setting
