Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a multi-specialty ICU setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter and interpret computerized data and information within the electronic health system
- Assist the leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN
- Active Massachusetts (MA) RN License required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Basic computer proficiency and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be classified under a local rate structure
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Experience in a multi-specialty or high-acuity ICU environment
- Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives in a clinical setting
