    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

    Location

    Brighton, MA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-hour night shifts | Every other weekend | Every other holiday | Expected 36 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
    • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
    • Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data and information
    • Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department
    • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects; may be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT)
    • Nursing degree: Diploma or ASN required
    • Active Massachusetts RN License required
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (telemetry assessment administered on day one)
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency
    • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN degree preferred
    • Experience across multiple ICU subspecialties (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, CT ICU)
