    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel)

    Location

    Athens, TN | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an ICU/Critical Care setting serving adult and geriatric populations (no pediatrics)
    • Manage patients presenting with diagnoses including DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric conditions (SI)
    • Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, and glucometers
    • Maintain patient ratios of 2–3:1 in a 5-bed unit (expanding to 10 beds)
    • Document accurately using the Medhost EHR system
    • Complete Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start date — results required before start
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure valid in the State of Tennessee
    • ACLS certification required prior to start
    • BLS certification required prior to start
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care experience
    • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong critical care background with experience managing complex, critically ill patients
    • Proficiency with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and BiPAP therapy
    • Experience with Medhost or comparable EHR platforms
    • Collaborative team player who thrives in a close-knit unit environment
