Travel RN – Critical Care Float Pool (Days)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | 36–48 Hours Per Week Available
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple critical care units including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
- Provide competent ICU-level care to patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
- Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients across a variety of high-acuity environments
- Adapt quickly to varying unit protocols and patient populations as part of a critical care float pool
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
- Demonstrated competency caring for patients across multiple ICU settings
- Must be willing to complete a competency assessment within 24 hours of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Prior experience floating to a variety of ICU environments
- Familiarity with progressive critical care and step-down patient populations
