Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 8 or 12-hour shifts available, 1900-0730, with every other weekend and some holidays. 4x12 schedules may be accommodated based on traveler preference. Block scheduling likely available.

- Work in an academic teaching environment with exposure to multiple critical care specialties including Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, Medical ICU, and IMC/Progressive Care units
- 3:1 patient ratios for both day and night shifts with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- 28 hours of orientation with opportunities for professional growth and shared governance participation
- Epic charting system with advanced equipment for high-acuity patient populations
- Floating required across multiple critical care units to build diverse clinical expertise
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience with at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in critical care specialty
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must pass mandatory telemetry examination prior to start (strict passing criteria apply with up to 3 attempts allowed)
- Competency in multiple ICU specialties required including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, CRRT/CVVHD, arterial line management, central line care, critical arrhythmia interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
