Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,989 per week in Kansas City, MO

Job Description - **Location:** Kansas City, MO - **Start Date:** 11/30 - **Unit Name:** 4 North Cardiac Telemetry - **Number of Beds:** 29 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 ### Unit Specifics: - **Staffing Description:** - Charge Nurse - Unit Secretary - Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) - **Equipment Used:** - Alaris IV Pumps - SCD Machines - Hill Rom Beds - Dinamap in each room - Welch Allen Vital Machines - Wound Vacs - Temporary Pacemakers - Telemetry Monitors - EKG Machines - Bladder Scanners - Doppler Devices - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Full-time hours - 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period - **Floating Policy:** Contract Nurses may be floated based on demonstrated competency - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Treat every patient with courtesy and respect - Be responsive to call lights - Use patients’ preferred names - Make personal connections - Involve patients in bedside shift report - Educate patients on communication tools - Always ask if there is anything else you can do before leaving the room ### Hiring Profile: - **Must Have:** - Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience - Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - Experience with post-cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements) - Ability to administer and titrate IV medications (Insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone) - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - IV Insertions - NGT Placement and Maintenance - Chest Tube Maintenance - Temporary Pacemaker Management - Foley Insertions - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS ### Dress Code: - Navy Blue Scrubs (May wear black scrub pants with navy blue top) ### Unit Guidelines/Policies: - Adhere to ICARE Values ### Why Join Us? - Tenured and new staff foster a family-like atmosphere - Opportunity for contract nurses to transition into full-time roles - Fast-paced environment - Utilization of Imobile for efficient communications --- ### Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
