Job Details
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Education Requirements: 2 years of ICU experience, with a focus on cardiac telemetry or Progressive Care Unit / Intensive Care Unit experience; read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips; experience with post cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements); ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone; minimum 0 years of experience required if other qualifications are met
- Schedule: Shift Time Days; Shift Hours 12; Minimum Hours Per Week 36
- Responsibilities: Providing patient-centered care in a cardiac telemetry unit with a focus on respectful and courteous treatment, involving patients in their care, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice. Tasks include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers, Foley insertions, and adherence to unit policies.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate competency in cardiac telemetry, post procedural care, and IV medication titration.
