**Exciting Opportunity for Seasonal Travel RN - 4N CCU** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Seasonal Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - **Unit:** 4 North Cardiac Telemetry - **Shift:** 7 AM - 7 PM - **Hours:** 48 hours guaranteed with an option - **Location:** Kansas City, MO **About the Unit:** - Patient-Focused Environment - 29 Beds with a Patient Ratio of 1:4 - Staffing includes Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) **Equipment Highlights:** - Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines - Hill Rom beds, Vital Machines - Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers - Telemetry monitors, EKG Machines **Documentation System:** - Meditech **Scheduling Requirements:** - Must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period **Floating Policy:** - Contract Nurses will be floated to areas based on competency **Patient Experience Standards:** - Treat every patient with courtesy and respect - Be responsive to call lights using patients' preferred names - Make personal connections and involve patients in bedside shift reports - Always ask if there is anything else you can do before leaving the room **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills:** - Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience - Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - Experience with post-cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements) - Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance - Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers, Foley insertions - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue scrubs with the option of black scrub pants and Navy Blue top **What Makes This Unit Special:** - Family-like atmosphere with tenured and new staff - Successful transitions from contract to full-time employees - Fast-paced environment - Utilize Imobile for enhanced communication **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
