Description:
This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts.
The average patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3.
The role includes caring for critically ill patients, including those with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, liver/renal failure, and post-cardiac arrest conditions.
Candidates must possess skills in arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
Continuous IV sedation management and dysrhythmia management experience are essential.
Isolation precautions and PPE experience are required.
The unit operates with a high acuity model, with a maximum ratio of 1:2 unless extenuating circumstances arise, allowing for a temporary 3:1 ratio for lower acuity patients awaiting transfer.
Interdisciplinary support is available.
The shift will include weekends, and floating to other areas may be required as needed.
