# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pulmonary Medical-Surgical & Progressive Care – South Dakota**Start Date:** October 3, 2026 **Location:** Sioux Falls, South Dakota **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and every other holiday required**Highlights:**- Work in a combined 30-bed medical-surgical unit and 8-bed progressive care unit within a Magnet-designated facility- Gain critical care experience with mechanical ventilation, telemetry, moderate sedation, and advanced respiratory therapies- Diverse patient population including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and post-operative care- Patient ratios: 1:3 in progressive care; 1:4-5 day shifts, 1:5-6 night shifts in medical-surgical- Epic EMR system with comprehensive 3-day orientation and competency validation- Flexible scheduling options available including straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling**Requirements:**- Active RN license in South Dakota or compact state- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required- Specialty certification preferred- Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care- Must be available for floating to other medical-surgical units as needed- Navy blue scrubs required; badge in/out at facility mandatory**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a supportive, mission-driven team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
