Description: This position is for an ICU nurse specializing in the care of critically ill patients. The unit primarily cares for neuro patients. RNs will be expected to manage complex cases and provide high-quality care. Traveling nurses must be adaptable and ready for various responsibilities. RNs will float to different units within the hospital based on needs. There is an expectation for flexibility with floating between campuses. A shuttle service is provided when floating is necessary. The ICU unit expects a nurse to deliver high standards of care. Patients in this unit typically require advanced monitoring and support. RNs will work within a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment. Ongoing education and professional development will be supported. Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills. Experience with ventilator management and neuro assessments is crucial. Effective communication with team members and patients is essential. Compliance with infection control protocols is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills. The ability to respond to emergencies and provide rapid assessments is critical.
