Job Title: ICU Nurse-Staff II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ Years of RN ICU experience License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Charge Experience: 2 years - Patient Ratio Experience: 2 - Charting System: Epic Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to critically ill patients, including those with neurological conditions. RNs must be comfortable and proficient in managing neuro patients. Floating to other units within the scope of practice may be required depending on the needs of the unit. Traveling nurses are expected to be flexible with potential assignments in different areas. There will be a notice of approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start time if floating is requested. A shuttle service will be provided for those who need to float to different units. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend and as the needs of the unit dictate. On-call duty may be required as needed. The patient care team includes interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy and respiratory services. Daily census in the unit is 12 patients with a total of 30 beds available. The nurse will be involved in advanced patient care techniques and procedures. Proper infection prevention practices should be maintained. The nurse will be required to monitor vital signs and manage patients with multiple organ dysfunctions. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role. All applicants must provide accurate work history going back 7 years. Candidates will undergo a thorough onboarding process, which includes necessary compliance documents.
