Description:
This position requires a registered nurse in a critical care float pool.
Candidates must have strong ICU experience, including Level I Trauma Center experience.
The nurse will float to all critical care units as dictated by facility needs.
Weekend coverage is required, with rotations expected every other weekend.
Additional skills such as ICP and PA Line management are preferred.
References should be from a direct supervisor, preferably a nurse manager.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation of dysrhythmias, with a test mandated.
Academic or teaching facility experience is required, along with essential critical care skills.
Unit staffing ratios are typically 1:1–2 and will vary based on unit needs.
Nurses must participate in the care of ventilated patients and have experience with multiple critical care procedures.
Personal protective equipment and isolation precautions must be adhered to at all times.
Candidates will be handling care of neurological patients and potentially assisting with procedures.
The ideal candidate is well-rounded with experience in various critical care specialties.
Interdisciplinary support will be available, and floating across units will be necessary.
Additional training modules may be required prior to starting the position.
