Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS* Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required - Proficiency in charting systems (Epic) Description: This position is for a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The role includes working three 12-hour shifts per week. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of experience. Experience with travel nursing is also preferred. Patient ratios are typically 1:2. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex patient care. Familiarity with ventilator management and critical care protocols is required. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, and PALS* are mandatory. The role involves caring for adults and geriatrics. The daily census will average around 14 patients. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential. Special procedures may be required for patient care in the ICU setting. Experience with specific equipment like CRRT is advantageous. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are necessary.
