Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Night shift. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027. Minimum every-other-weekend coverage required.
Highlights:
- Float to multiple critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics units
- Work with diverse patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart), post-cardiac surgery, CVA/stroke, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- EPIC charting system utilized across all units
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology
- Float only to units of equivalent or lower acuity based on facility policy
- Travel nursing assignment with competitive compensation package
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager or formal leadership reference
- Skills required: arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, vasoactive drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, and care of ventilated patients
