Location:** Kansas City, MO - **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM - **Unit Specifics:** - 29 Beds with a patient ratio of 1:4 - Supportive staffing including Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs - State-of-the-art equipment: - Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds - Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner - Communication via Imobile for team efficiency - Documentation system: Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Must commit to full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts each scheduling period - **Floating Policy:** - Opportunity to float to areas where competency is demonstrated - **Patient Experience:** - Align with goals by treating patients with courtesy - Engage patients and ensure comfort during stay - **Hiring Profile:** - **Required Experience:** Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU - **Advanced Skills:** - Proficient in reading/interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips - Experienced in post-cardiac procedural care (Ablations, catheterizations) - Administering and titrating IV medications (insulin, Cardizem, etc.) - **Procedures on Unit:** - IV insertions, NGT placement, Chest Tube maintenance - Foley insertions, Temporary Pacemakers - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue scrubs.
