TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Three years of critical care experience preferred. License: Active RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only). Must-Have: Candidates must have strong neuro critical care experience. Proficiency in Epic is required. Must be willing to float to other units such as Stepdown, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units. Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts each week, with every other weekend and holiday required. Typical patient ratios are 1:2-3. Strong candidates with less than three years of experience may be considered. The role includes managing patients with respiratory failure, renal failure, and post-surgical care. Candidates must possess skills in ventilator management, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia management. Emergency response and critical care management skills are essential. Candidates should be able to perform procedures such as arterial line management and care for ventilated patients. Must have comprehensive knowledge of emergency medications and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Travel experience is preferred. All candidates must pass background checks and have no prior license violations. Fit testing is required, and candidates must have no history of fit test issues. Candidates must also pass a tele testing evaluation prior to starting the contract.
