Job Title: Level 2 RN ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Acute Care Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Variable shifts scheduled Hours per Shift: 12-hour shifts (7a - 7p / 7p - 7a) Experience: Minimum years of experience required, specifics not stated License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire. CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner. Description: Short Description: ICU D/N variable schedule, full-time day and night shifts, including holidays. The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan. Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs. Provide care needed for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills are essential. Computer literacy is required. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Candidate should demonstrate behaviors consistent with professional communication and attention to a healing environment. Work behavior should ensure safety, promote dignity, respect, and well-being. Exemplify healthy relationships in the workplace. The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities is crucial. Enhance team spirit through effective role modeling. Certification by a professional nursing association is recommended within two years of hire. Additional certifications may be encouraged within a specified timeframe.
