Exciting Travel Opportunity for RN - STICU (655)** **Job Description:** - Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM - Location: K4, 509 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 - Unit Name: Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) **Unit Specifics:** - Scrub Color(s): Navy or white - Number of Beds: 20 - Patient Ratios: 1:2 **Staffing Overview:** - AM Shifts: - 10 RNs (more if needed for 1:1s) - 1 Supervisor - 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) - 1 ICU Waiting Room Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - PM Shifts: - 10 RNs (more if needed for 1:1s) - 1 Supervisor - 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) - 1 ICU Waiting Room Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) **Equipment Used:** - EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs - Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors - GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blanket - Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll - Kangaroo feeding pumps, Alaris PCA pumps **Documentation System:** - Cerner Power Chart **Scheduling Requirements:** - 6 weekend shifts required - 6-week schedule **Floating Policy:** - Travelers float before core staff - Possible floating to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Must be kind and compassionate **Hospital Specifics:** - Certifications: Magnet Hospital, ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center **Hiring Profile:** - Requested Skill Set: Acute Care ICU Skills (No LTAC experience considered) **Must Have:** - Trauma ICU experience (Level I or II Trauma Centers) - Surgical ICU experience **Advanced Skills:** - Team players with positive attitudes and flexibility **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Intubation, extubation, chest tube placement - Central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement - Bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration - Hypertonic medication administration, trach placement - EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, minor surgery **Certifications Required:** - Valid Nursing License - Active ACLS and BLS Certifications **Dress Code:** - All navy or all white - Optional navy bottoms with white top **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
