TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28277!

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Intermediate Critical Care Unit – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:4. At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Self-scheduling system balanced by unit staff.

Highlights:

  • Specialized intermediate critical care environment treating DKA, sickle cell crisis, sepsis, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heart failure, stroke, and stroke-like symptoms
  • Recent ICU experience strongly preferred; ideal for seasoned critical care nurses
  • Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
  • 36-hour unit orientation provided
  • Function as Rapid Response RN with specialized training
  • Work with BiPap, CPap, and Optiflow equipment
  • Floating to Med-Surg units as needed (1:6 ratio)

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact state license)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with recent ICU background
  • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (current)
  • Preferred certification: NIHSS
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Experience with IV starts, cardiac telemetry, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, PCA, CVA care, feeding tube management, and rapid response teams
  • Preferred skills: ventilated patient care, wound care/wound vac, and MS/Tele experience
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
