# Job Opportunity – RN Infection Preventionist – GeorgiaStart Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time position with regular business hoursHighlights:
  • Function under the direction of the Infection Prevention Manager with system-level support and collaboration
  • Lead hospital-wide surveillance programs and identification of healthcare-related infections
  • Participate in developing system-wide policies and procedures for infection prevention
  • Conduct routine facility audits and physical rounds across all departments
  • Oversee infection prevention practices related to construction, renovation, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization
  • Ensure compliance with public reporting requirements for mandated healthcare-associated infections
Requirements:
  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Professional nursing experience with knowledge of infection prevention principles
  • Strong clinical assessment and surveillance skills
  • Excellent communication and education abilities for patients and staff
  • Ability to conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
