Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a qualified Critical Care Nurse for a dynamic role requiring adaptability and expertise in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will work 48 hours per week, including 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend. Availability to work through winter holidays is essential, with a minimum requirement of two holiday shifts during this period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
  • Float between ICU and IMCU as required.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment, including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella devices.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting.
  • Experience in cardiovascular surgery is mandatory.
  • Proficiency with EPIC software is required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA are necessary.
  • Applicants must be separated from any previous employment for at least 6 months.

Additional Information

Orientation sessions are held weekly. Any color scrubs are acceptable for this role.
