RN – ICU Float Pool:

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float Pool
Shift: Night | 4×12 Hours | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Start Dates: 10/26, 11/2, 11/16, or 12/2
First-Time Travelers: Yes

Job Summary

The ICU Float Pool RN will provide high-quality patient care in the ICU and float to other critical-care and acute-care units as needed, including MS/Tele, PCU, Overflow, and PACU.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Active California RN License required at submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• PA Line experience REQUIRED
• Swan-Ganz experience REQUIRED
• Large hospital experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with experience at a 400+ bed facility
• Strong critical-care and floating experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required — no declinations
• Must pass an EKG exam on the first day of orientation

• ICU Float Pool position
• Floating is required
• May float to:
  • ICU
  • MS/Telemetry
  • PCU
  • Overflow
  • PACU
  • Other units as needed
• Weekend requirement: Yes

Scheduling / RTO

• No scheduling requests can be accommodated
• Maximum 7 days of RTO
• No RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Must work 3 out of 5 holidays

Important Requirement

PA Line and Swan-Ganz experience are mandatory. These skills will be assessed during the phone interview and through an additional checklist at submission. Candidates without this experience should not be submitted.
