ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to float between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU and IMCU.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with the management of critical devices, including Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella systems.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour shift position with a rotating schedule, including every other weekend, and requires flexibility to work both days and nights. The weekend rotation will occur every other weekend. Working through winter holidays is expected, with two holidays required each year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar critical care setting.
• Previous experience in cardiovascular or CT surgery nursing is required.
• Proficiency with critical care devices, specifically IABP and Impella.
• Current certifications in BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA are mandatory.
• Must be separated from any previous employment with BILH for at least 6 months to be considered for this role.

Other Information

Orientation for this position is conducted weekly, and any color scrubs may be worn.
