ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cardiovascular surgery and the ability to manage critical care patients effectively. This role requires flexibility to float between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and IMCU.
• Utilize advanced medical devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar clinical setting.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgery is essential.
• Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications are required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Must have been separated from previous employment for 6 months or longer.

Working Hours

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts with a rotational schedule that includes working every other weekend. If scheduled during the winter holidays, two holiday shifts will be mandatory.

Any color scrubs are acceptable for this position.
