Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a strong background in cardiovascular surgery and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the ICU and IMCU settings.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform necessary interventions for patients with devices such as IABP and IMPELLA.
• Float between ICU and IMCU as required by patient needs.

Schedule:

This position requires a 12-hour rotating schedule, including day and night shifts, and working every other weekend. Employees must also commit to working during the winter holidays, with two holidays required for coverage.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgery is mandatory.
• Proficient in the use and management of devices such as IABP and IMPELLA.
• Current certifications in BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA are required.
• Must have been separated from employment with BILH for at least 6 months to be considered.

Additional Information:

Orientation sessions are held weekly. Staff are permitted to wear scrubs of any color.
