ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2+ years of ICU nursing experience required
• Strong clinical competency in ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management, and post-STEMI care
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced critical care environment
• CCRN certification preferred
• Ability to successfully complete required testing prior to acceptance

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient conditions closely and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and sedation therapies as ordered
• Support hemodynamic stability through careful assessment and intervention
• Recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and post-STEMI patient needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective critical care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality and safety
