  • Schedule: Every other weekend required; some holiday coverage required during winter holidays

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar ICU or critical care setting
  • Previous CT surgery experience required
  • Experience with IABP and IMPELLA devices required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Current ACLS certification from AHA required
  • Experience with EPIC preferred/required for success in this role
  • Must be comfortable working night shifts in a high-acuity intensive care environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Support complex cardiac and thoracic surgery patients with specialized clinical needs
  • Operate confidently with advanced devices such as IABP and IMPELLA
  • Provide care across both ICU and IMCU as needed
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain strong communication with the care team
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused work environment that values teamwork and clinical excellence
