ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working with critically ill adult patients, offering care for a variety of complex medical conditions and post-surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
• Manage and monitor patients experiencing medical emergencies, post-surgical needs, respiratory failure, sepsis, and more.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Participate in training and development of nursing staff and students as necessary.
• Handle pediatric critical cases as required, including stabilization and transfer to specialized facilities when needed.
• Provide care to stroke patients using tele-stroke and tele- neurology services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory.
• ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA are required.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every third weekend.
• Flexibility to accommodate a limited amount of time away from work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in providing effective patient care.

The role takes place in a 10-bed ICU, focusing on delivering intensive care to a diverse patient population. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with intensivists and hospitalists in a supportive environment tailored for complex patient needs.
