Registered Nurse - ICU/CCU

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, focusing on advanced monitoring and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and health status, identifying changes and responding as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions as required.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of clinical experience in ICU/CCU settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
