Job Summary
ICU Nurse Intensive Care Unit Remote
This ICU registered nurse (RN) position involves providing specialized patient care within a multi-scope ICU environment. The RN is responsible for coordinating nursing care, delivering direct patient care, patient and family education, and ensuring smooth transitions of care. The role supports professional nursing practice throughout the continuum of care, following established standards and models.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation and every 3rd weekend.
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Current RN license by applicable state requirements, minimum one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting within the last five years, or graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience in the last five years. Basic Life Support (BLS) competency is required; additional specialty certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) are preferred.
- Additional Skills: Nursing care, quality improvement, ventricular assist devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, balloon pumps, mentoring and teaching, transitions of care, and experience with Epic charting.
- Experience: Two years of recent acute care intensive care unit nursing experience required; six months of travel experience required, with one year of recent travel experience preferred. Experience with ventricular assist devices, Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, balloon pumps, and transplant or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is preferred.
- Responsibilities include patient care, patient and family education, quality improvement initiatives, and supporting clinical staff activities.
