Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position available in a healthcare organization located at the specified facility. The role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including neuro, medical, surgical, and trauma patients. The position requires experience with critical equipment and procedures to support patient stability and recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Drivers License with address matching demographics; current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); valid license verification with an active registered nurse (RN) license; up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of ICU experience, including ICU specialties such as Neuro ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, and experience with critical care equipment including CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and Therapeutic Hypothermia Machine (e.g., Artic Sun).
- Preferred Qualifications: 4-5 years of ICU experience; prior experience with Heart ICU patient care is highly preferred; travel experience is required and documented.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, covering all units except Behavioral and Emergency Room (unless holding).
- Additional Information: Floating to all units if needed, except behavioral health and emergency department, based on staffing needs. Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex is essential, with high priority given to Heart ICU experience. Scrub color: Navy. The unit comprises 42 beds divided between Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma, with specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Artic Sun).
