Job Details

  • Position Description: The Clinical Nurse B-MC (SSN) at Loma Linda University Shared Services (LLUSS) supports supplemental staffing in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse functions out of a home department and is reassigned to various patient care departments as needed to cover sick calls, vacations, leaves, or vacancies. Exhibits flexibility and accepts assignments where needed, prioritizing patient-centered care according to established professional standards. Performs the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) with minimal supervision, focusing on individualized physical, psychosocial, and spiritual wellness. Delegates tasks to unlicensed staff in accordance with scope of practice and applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice. Contributes to a culturally diverse work environment and may participate in on-call rotations based on department needs.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license, completion of an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing, minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, and current BLS certification.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning 10/19/2026 through 01/17/2027.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a fast-paced ICU setting and familiarity with patient-centered care models.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will perform direct and indirect patient care, document clinical interventions, and support a team-oriented healthcare environment. No float rotation is required.
