Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights, 1900–0700).
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Target Start Date: September 28, 2026 (Candidates recommended by the clinical team will complete a phone interview with the unit manager).
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required; holidays negotiable. Low-census standby requires a 30-minute reporting window if called in.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules
- Licensing Flexibility: An Oregon (OR) RN license is not required at submission—the facility can request a 90-day Oregon Emergency License.
- Unit Overview & Ratios: 5-bed mixed unit. Ratios are typically 1:2–3, or 1:1 for unstable vented patients. Must be comfortable caring for all age populations, including occasional stable pediatric patients.
- Support & Equipment: 24/7 in-house hospitalist and shared respiratory therapy. RNs manage their own telemetry strips (and read strips for Med-Surg patients), ventilator management, and drip titrations.
- Floating & Dress Code: Nurses not cross-trained float as "helping hands" (or may elect to fully cross-train). Navy blue scrubs required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Intensive care experience required, including comfort with ventilator management and titrating drips (heparin, vasopressors, insulin, sedatives, etc.).
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
