ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse is now available. This role involves providing high-quality critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment, focusing on their complex needs and recovery. The contract length for this position is 20 weeks, with night shifts scheduled as 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Utilize advanced equipment and technology to monitor and support patient health.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EPIC charting.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and health management.
• Perform necessary interventions for a range of patient diagnoses including ICU, stroke, renal failure, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, pneumonia, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, and surgical ICU cases.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license.
• 2+ years of experience in an ICU setting is required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Ability to float within the ICU specialty/acuity as required.
• Experience with specialized equipment such as ceiling lifts, emergency carts, and critical care carts is preferred.

Working Conditions

This role requires availability for every third weekend. There is no on-call requirement. A commitment to teamwork, communication, and professional development is essential.
