Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nights commencing 10/12/2026. This position involves delivering high-quality critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, ARDS, ARF, cardiac dysrhythmias, post-operative care, overdose, and behavioral health issues. The role requires working in a fast-paced ICU environment with focus on patient stabilization and recovery.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU nurse responsible for caring for critically ill patients, including managing complex medical devices such as central lines, arterial lines, and bedside bronchoscopies. Adherence to American Heart Association guidelines is necessary.
• Required Qualifications: Valid active Illinois license or proof of application initiation, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) certifications, and minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: No hospitalist or intensivist in-house, with hospitalists available 24/7. Critical care physicians work from 7 am to 7 pm. Ventilators, bipap, and cpap equipment are used regularly. The unit maintains a 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio, which can go to 3 depending on acuity and overflow. Orientation comprises 2 shifts; nightshift orientation preferred. No float requirement unless specified. Candidates must be willing to wait for license processing and produce a negative drug screen.
