Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is needed in the ICU setting with experience in cardiac, trauma, oncology, neurology, medicine, and COVID critical care. This role involves float duties across multiple ICU units and inpatient floors, requiring strong independence and clinical skills to adapt to various patient care environments.

Job Details:

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS are required. Ongoing certifications in chemo, CCRN, ONS, TNCC, Vents, IV start, Tele, and Conscious Sedation are preferred.
• Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required with a valid state license (MO license required; IL license required at time of submittal).
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID. Float to inpatient floors and non-critical care units as needed, possibly serving as a patient sitter. Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 in ICU and no more than 1:3 on inpatient floors.
• Requirements: Candidates must have experience with hemodynamic interpretation, vasoactive drips, CRRT, ECMO, Vents, IV starts, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation. Requisite skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and infection prevention.
• Additional Information: Floating within service lines, working every other weekend or six weekends in a six-week period, with holiday rotation. No RTO requests after submission; compliance deadlines and certification requirements must be met per the specified schedule.
