ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit. This position offers the opportunity to work on a night shift, providing critical care to patients in a specialized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the LTAC ICU.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure patient needs are met outside of regular hours.
  • Document all nursing care and patient interactions accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least two years of ICU nursing experience.
  • Experience in a Long-Term Acute Care setting is preferred.
  • Neurology experience is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment of 36 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with additional weekend support on a rotating call basis with 6 to 8 staff members.

Contract Duration

The opportunity is available for a contract term of 13 to 26 weeks.
