Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a telemetry environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and telemetry, specifically in a CCU or high-level telemetry setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly with titratable drips.
  • Utilize advanced respiratory support techniques, including Bi-PAP and long-term ventilation.
  • Assist in the management of acute and chronic conditions of patients in critical care settings.
  • Float to IMCU and Med/Surg units as necessary based on staffing needs.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in CCU or high-level telemetry.
  • Proficiency in managing titratable drips and understanding cardiac rhythms.
  • Strong nursing skills in a critical care environment, with an emphasis on cardiac care.

Preferred Experience

  • Over 5 years of experience, including IMCU and CCU backgrounds.

License and Certification Requirements

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Work Schedule

  • Night shift – 12 hours starting at 19:00.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Holidays as needed.

Orientation

12 hours of orientation will be provided, with 6 hours being non-billable.
