Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in a general ICU setting, located within the organizations healthcare facility. This position involves providing critical care to patients with a variety of complex medical diagnoses, including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain. The role requires working night shifts with designated hours and is suited for experienced registered nurses with a focus on critical care.
Job Details

- Schedule: Night shifts, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week

- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; minimum of 2 years of relevant ICU experience; current licensure to practice as a registered nurse.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working with telehealth for critical care and pulmonology, familiarity with rural hospital operations.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide acute care in a level III trauma ICU environment
- Manage titration of drips such as vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics
- Utilize telehealth resources and onsite hospitalist support
- Monitor and interpret patient strips; escalate as needed
- Float within zone 4 as determined by staffing needs
- Additional Information:
- This role involves self-scheduling and block scheduling, with a requirement to work at least six weekend shifts per six-week schedule and full participation in holiday coverage.
- Onsite orientation will be conducted during the week of start, with remote modules available.
- Cpap, BiPap, high flow, and ventilator equipment are used in patient care.
